If your company has long distance bills over $500 per month, please call us, and we may be able to get a better rate quote for you, at no charge. We may be able to save you more than 50% off of the best published regular long distance rates by using Dedicated Access long distance services instead. This is commonly referred to as T1 long distance.

T1s are available in both BRI and PRI types. BRI is the most common one which is used, because it supports 24 simultaneous calls per T1 line, and can support an unlimited number of incoming phone numbers. The major drawback of BRI is that it does not support caller ID (incoming or outgoing) however, it is generally the most cost effective.

A PRI line supports 23 simultaneous calls per T1 line, and uses the 24th line for signaling, for instance, signaling the start and end of calls, and also providing Caller ID. A PRI line has better line quality, and can connect your calls faster than a BRI. If you want to use your T1 line for voice, data, and video conferencing, a PRI line is the better choice. Call center software applications which support TAPI or CTI (which is what allows you to pull a customer's records to your computer screen before you answer the call) require a PRI as well, because they need the caller ID feature of the PRI. The benefits of TAPI or CTI is that it saves about 30 seconds per phone call, that would otherwise be spent asking a customer for his name, account number, etc. and then looking it up in a computer database, before actually providing any customer service. It also sounds better when you are able to answer a customer's phone call, and instead of saying, "Thank you for calling sample company, may I have your name, account number, and mother's maiden name?" you might instead say "Good Evening Mr. Jones, how may we help you?"
